This plate measures 9.5 inches in diameter and is ready to hang on the wall: a removable wire wall hanger requires only a nail, or a hook to go on your wall.
I'm using my Oni-Glazing approach on these plates to create some "cosmic landscapes".... in some cases they seem to refer to realistic misty mountain valleys...in others, they seem to refer to something more celestial, unfathomable, and limitless. BE SURE TO SEE THE AMAZING DETAIL IMAGES!
These plates are generally dinner plate size:many of them are smooth enough to be used on your table; others have significant texture that my lead you to showing it on a stand or with a hanger instead of filling it with food.
When you think of "ONI".....think "excessive", "more than enough".... "a little over the top". Exactly what I'm looking for with this glazing.
This approach is my way of continuing to try to expand my visual literacy…to expand my understanding of beauty, and to keep trying to learn how to make the pots that I don’t know how to make.
